Losing weight can be hard, yes, but definitely not impossible. The key to losing weight is mainly consistency. If you’re consistent and optimistic, you’ll get that dream body pretty soon.

Now the question arises: How to lose weight? Personally, I think diet and exercise both contribute to losing weight but shouldn’t be done in excess. Equilibrium is required. Here are some of the best diet to lose weight:

Water

Drinking plenty of water is an essential part of this challenging journey. Keeping your body hydrated helps boost your body’s metabolism and has many other benefits including clearer skin, efficiently functioning organs, getting energetic etc. Drinking at least 8-12 glasses of water daily helps a lot to lose weight.

Exercise

Effective exercises include lunges, squats, push-ups, leg-raises and jumping jacks. By doing these, you lose fat overall your body. A minute of each of these can get your body all worked up and hot and before you even know it, you happen to have burnt plenty of calories! Perform these at least twice a day, 4 days a week and you’ll start to see and feel the difference in at least 2 weeks.

Walk

As I’ve mentioned earlier, performing exercises can be very effective to lose weight but it can be very hard for some of us, too. But don’t worry, dearies! When one door closes, another one always opens. Walking daily for at least 30 minutes can help boost your metabolism and keep it fast even after you’re done walking! For effective results, brisk walk is recommended. There are many other benefits of walking, too, including stronger skeletal and cardiac muscles, a clearer mind etc. They say “Jogging is a cosmetic not found in a drug store.”

Diet

Walking and exercising can help burn a lot of calories but mostly, many of us consume more calories than we’ve burnt. This is a common mistake that should be avoided in order to lose weight effectively. Now, personally, I’ve never followed those “eat more green” diet plans and it worked out fine for me. As much as I’ve experienced, losing weight isn’t a very hard journey although most people make it hard by being hard on themselves. I say you eat everything BUT in moderate amount. Everything is for you.

Change in Habits

Sometimes, a few changes in our habits are required if we want faster results. Examples include :

  • Taking stairs instead of elevator.
  • Drinking green tea instead of milk tea.
  • Cutting down on mayonnaise and ketchup.
  • Drinking less cold drinks and sodas.
  • Preferring bran bread over white bread.
  • Preferring brown sugar over white sugar.

So, get up to start this fun journey. Set up your dream weight and keep working ‘til you reach it. Do indulge yourself in a treat every few days. Take small frequent meals and drink as much water as you can. Stay consistent and optimistic and before you know it, you’ll be there! Just know that you’re beautiful just the way you are. You’re not taking this journey for anyone else, but for yourself and you’ll reach your beautiful destination real soon! Best of luck!
